Michael Anderson
is AAAS Project 2061’s senior business analyst. He prepares
and monitors the performance of consulting and subcontract agreements;
monitors monthly reconciliation of internal and AAAS Finance reports;
oversees and monitors payables for compliance with budgets and grant
restrictions; and approves expenditures within set guidelines and
resolves billing issues. Anderson also serves as back up to Project
2061’s administration director as needed and performs other
financial and administrative duties as assigned.
Prior
to joining Project 2061, Anderson worked for the U.S. Civilian Research & Development
Foundation (CRDF) in Arlington, VA, where he was the grant financial
manager for the Award Administration and Grants Assistance Program.
Previously, he served at CRDF as associate project manager and project
assistant, and as an intern. His experience also includes serving
as supervisor of financial accounts for Anoka Country Parks in Coon
Rapids, MN.
Anderson holds
a B.A. in economics and political science from The George Washington
University.
